Still ga-ga over Elvis? Read’em and weep
A plaster bust of Elvis Presley wept “miracle” tears Friday on the 25th anniversary of his death, its Dutch owner claims.
The 50-year-old Elvis impersonator in Deurne in the southern Netherlands also said the ghost of the Elvis appeared in his house last week.
Toon Nieuwenhuisen said the bust, which he keeps in a spare room he has converted into a shrine to Elvis, started weeping just shortly after breakfast Friday. “The tears you can see started at 10 o’clock. When you taste it, it’s salty. It’s a miracle.”
Nieuwenhuisen, who says he speaks regularly to Elvis, said he believes the statue was weeping tears of gratitude for the adoring fans around the world.

“How do I protect my sighting of Elvis?
“Copyright law does not protect sightings. However, copyright law will protect your photo (or other depiction) of your sighting of Elvis. Just send it to us with a form VA application and the $30 filing fee. No one can lawfully use your photo of your sighting, although someone else may file his own photo of his sighting. Copyright law protects the original photograph, not the subject of the photograph.”
