Ask Me Anything Elvis…

After this summer, “Elvis Expert” gets officially added to my resume.

I claim this endorsement through the following:

Six years as an entertainment writer in Memphis. Many steamy vigil nights filing past his grave. A ghostly encounter on the Memphian Theatre balcony. And breathing the dust cloud after the Baptist Memorial implosion, which caused his residual DNA to fuse with mine (like what happened to the Fantastic Four), giving me superhuman powers of seduction, an otherworldly singing voice and a need for a well-stocked pharmacy.

Not even the Great Guralnick has these powers.

So welcome to the Commercial Appeal’s Elvis Blog. If you have any Elvis Question (or EQ) no matter how big or small, I will answer it using my keen Elvis Sensory Perception (and also some books from the library.)

On this, the 30th Anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death, we leave no mystery un-unraveled.

If you want to call with a question, which I’ll answer in this space, do that. The number is 901-529-2305.

Check back often!
