A Bad Dose of Elvis

Commercial comes on during the news last night. A bunch of dudes– 40-somethings, maybe — are sitting around in their clubhouse with their instruments. Jam session. They’re Elvis fans! We know because they start singing one of The King’s most rousing tunes, “Viva Las Vegas.” Only, they’ve personalized the lyrics! Each guy gets a verse. At the end of the tune they join in unison and, oh mama, it hurts to mention what they sing, so you have to just watch and cringe.

    Elvis would not stand for this at all if he were alive. If only there was something he could take to get him up.
